53 hours journey to Tokyo – entry #3 Budapest Frankfurt
1143 flight LH1337 Budapest – Frankfurt
I was sleeping when a steward woke me up with a small snack pack in his hand “tea or coffee, sir?” he said. My sleep was so deep that it took me a while to caught up. “Tea yes. With milk please.”
After the refreshment, the captain announced that we will be landing in half an hour . It was a relief we left Budapest 20 minutes later than we scheduled to and my connection flight is one hour after schedule landing.
I looked out the window. Clear blue sky. We are somewhere half-way to Frankfurt perhaps over Vienna. It is somehow still funny to me that it is cheaper to for me to fly from Budapest than from Vienna. I is very rational am sure. But only under the current system that the world as we know is.
Tired eyes already, although I slept like a baby last night on Oschi couch. Only woke up to the sound of a motorbike at six. It was blasting thought the street below. Showered, breakfast was coffee with jam on toast. Oschi mom made the jam. It was delicious. Surprisingly Oschi does not cook, but am sure the potential is in her gene, waiting to be revealed one of these days. We left the flat at five past eight. After an hour of a tram, an underground and a bus journeys we were at the airport. Hugged and said good bye. I am really grateful to her. Thank you again Oschi.
